Your Role and What You\’ll Be Doing

Due to the continued growth in the Military Claims team we are currently recruiting for an Associate to join the team. We have some flexibility as to what office the role is based from and the recruitment team are happy to answer any queries on office and travel requirements.

Serious injury and illness can have a dramatic and sometimes life changing impact for the person affected and for those who are close to them. The serious injury teams at Irwin Mitchell don’t just deal with compensation claims. We also work with our clients and their families to ensure all of their rehabilitation needs are met. It’s a unique, bespoke approach that really makes a difference to people whose lives have been turned upside down by injury.

You’ll join Andrew Buckham who specialises in Armed Forces claims. Many of these claims involve assisting severely injured service personnel with compensation claims (On and Off Duty), Service of Inquiry and Coroners Inquests. You will be assisting Andrew on his caseload, as well as building and running your own

About You

  • Strong experience within high value and complex Claimant personal injury claims. Some experience within inquests and/or military claims would be ideal but not a requirement
  • A demonstrable passion for working within this area of Personal Injury Law
  • A clean driving licence as you will be required to travel to meet clients across the UK
  • Experience within business development and ability to build connections
  • Ability to use your own initiative and act independently
  • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills
