Our client, an Educational Establishment, located in Swanley, is seeking a Temporary Chef Manager to cover extended leave.
Dates Required: February – April/May 2025
Hours of Work: 7am - 3pm Monday to Friday.
You would be providing Lunch Mon - Fri and Tea from Mon - Thurs. There are 5 catering staff who help prep, serve, cook, and clean in the kitchen, and 2 of the staff cover the Tea in the afternoon through to the evening.
Duties include:
- Food Prep and Cooking of Main Meals, Vegetables, and Desserts.
- Stock control and Stock ordering from suppliers.
- Menu planning and H&S documentation and logging.
- Communication with Departments and classes on dietary requirements and special occasions or stock requests.
- Working with accounts on invoicing and estimating.
Lunch service is from 12 midday to 1pm, serving approximately 170 people. The classes come down in batches within that hour. There are several students and staff with dietary requirements that need to be catered for by providing alternative versions of the main dish or specific dishes for students with specific needs.
An Enhanced DBS for Adults & Children is ESSENTIAL for this role. Experience within an educational establishment or similar would be advantageous.
