We are recruiting for a Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Manager to join a global industrial waste management and recycling organisation, overseeing all Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality operations at their Wrexham site. This vital role provides expert advice and leadership to ensure full legal compliance, operational safety, and high standards of environmental performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and promote a strong SHEQ culture across the site, engaging all levels of staff.
- Oversee site SHEQ management systems, including audits, inspections, emergency planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead incident investigations, ensuring effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Manage contractor safety, SHEQ training, health surveillance, and environmental compliance.
Requirements, Skills, and Qualifications:
- NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent) with a strong background in waste, heavy industrial or related industry
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation, environmental permitting, and management systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, confident working with regulatory bodies.
