We are supporting a leading organisation in the logistics sector to recruit a Health and Safety Manager for a new build project in Stoke-on-Trent. The role involves directing safety operations on site, ensuring compliance, and fostering a proactive safety culture across all activities related to the project. This is an initial 8-month assignment, with a 5-day on-site schedule.
The key responsibilities include:
- Leading health and safety management on a large-scale construction site
- Conducting regular on-site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Liaising with main contractors, sub-contractors, and project teams to enforce safety standards
- Implementing and monitoring safety procedures aligned with project requirements and regulations
- Supporting incident investigations and safety training
The ideal candidate will have:
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent qualification
- Proven experience working directly with main contractors on similar projects
- Strong understanding of SHE experience and managing safety on large construction sites
- Ability to start within the next 2-3 weeks
