We are partnering with a global manufacturing organisation to recruit a Health, Safety and Environment Manager for a key leadership position based in Slough. With a significant UK and international presence, the organisation operates across multiple sites and has built a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and operational excellence, placing Health, Safety and Environment at the centre of its operations.
Based in Slough, this role will lead Health, Safety and Environment performance on site while providing strategic support to several other UK locations through monthly travel. Working closely with site leadership, you will drive continuous improvement and embed a proactive safety culture across the business.
Responsibilities of the Health, Safety and Environment Manager will include:
- Leading the development and implementation of Health, Safety and Environment management systems in partnership with site leadership teams.
- Driving continuous improvement in HSE performance through audits, inspections, incident investigations, and improvement initiatives.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, corporate standards, and best practice while providing expert advice to stakeholders.
- Promoting a positive safety culture through visible leadership, stakeholder engagement, effective communication, and coaching.
The ideal Health, Safety and Environment Manager will have:
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent Health and Safety qualification), with Chartered Membership of IOSH desirable.
- Proven Health, Safety and Environment performance within a manufacturing or engineering environment, ideally across multiple sites.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and drive continuous improvement.
