Are you an experienced sustainability or environmental professional looking to step into a leadership position with a global manufacturing organisation? Irwin and Colton are delighted to announce that we have been engaged to recruit for an environment and sustainability manager with a leading materials manufacturer. This is a newly created role which has the opportunity to shape and implement sustainability initiatives while ensuring compliance with environmental and energy management systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 standards, including audits and performance reporting.
- Interpret environmental and energy data to support the implementation of management systems and identify trends to drive continuous improvement.
- Work closely with the wider sustainability team to influence and embed sustainable best practice.
- Support site teams, operational teams, customers and suppliers with sustainability-related issues.
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrable experience working with Environmental and Energy Management Systems.
- A degree (BSc or MSc) in an environmental discipline with a membership to ISEP as desirable.
- Vast experience in a similar environmental/sustainability role, ideally within the manufacturing space or industrial sector.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
