This is an excellent opportunity to work on some of London's most prestigious and technically challenging construction projects, partnering with leading Principal Contractors while acting on behalf of high-profile clients.This role offers a great mix of autonomy and collaboration. You'll be home based with regular visits to project sites across London and the South East, giving you the chance to influence health and safety standards from project inception through to completion.The organisation has built an outstanding reputation for delivering expert health and safety advice across major construction schemes. They are committed to providing a high quality service to their clients and are looking for an experienced professional who can build strong relationships and positively influence project teams.The responsibilities of the Senior Health and Safety Consultant will include:Providing competent health and safety advice across a portfolio of major construction projects, working closely with clients, Principal Contractors and project teamsCarrying out site inspections, audits and reviews to ensure compliance with legislation and industry best practiceSupporting the investigation of incidents, identifying root causes and ensuring lessons learned are implemented across projectsProducing clear and accurate health and safety reports while providing practical advice to a wide range of stakeholdersThe successful Senior Health and Safety Consultant will have:Proven experience within a health and safety role in construction, consultancy or a closely related industryStrong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and its practical application on construction projectsChartered Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH), or be working towards chartered statusExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence at all levelsIrwin and Colton are a specialist Health and Safety recruitment company, based in the Southeast of England we recruit across the UK.
