We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Manager to oversee safety and environmental compliance across a manufacturing site in the Wrexham area. The role involves developing and implementing strategies to maintain a high standard of safety and environmental performance across all operational activities.
The successful HSE Manager will:
- Lead the development, implementation and review of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and internal audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Promote health and safety awareness through training, communication and engagement with staff and contractors.
- Support the organisation's environmental initiatives and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Act as a key point of contact for external regulators and authorities.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong experience in health, safety and environmental management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Certification such as NEBOSH or equivalent, with a comprehensive understanding of UK health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Experience of leading safety initiatives and engaging operational teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence safety culture at all levels.
