Would you like the opportunity to influence SHEQ strategy while remaining close to day-to-day operations? If these questions resonate, this opportunity could be the next step in your career.

This role offers the chance to manage SHEQ across a diverse network of warehouse, transport, and office locations, including sites in Glasgow, Cumbernauld, Washington, Pendlebury and Tamworth. You will play a key role in strengthening safety standards, improving engagement, and supporting operational teams across the region.

What can you expect in this role?

  • Take responsibility for SHEQ performance across multiple sites, managing your own diary, prioritising workload, and delivering improvements independently.
  • Work closely with site managers and operational teams to improve safety culture, reduce risk, and embed consistent SHEQ standards across warehouse and transport environments.
  • Support ISO 45001 implementation, audit programmes, incident investigations, inspections, and wider compliance initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with operational leaders, coach managers, and increase workforce engagement through improved hazard reporting, training, and safety conversations.

What does this role offer you?

  • This is not a heavily controlled corporate environment. You will have the freedom to manage your own workload, bring ideas forward, and make a visible impact across the division.
  • Gain exposure across multiple businesses and sites, supporting warehouse, transport, and office operations across the UK.
  • Combine hands-on site support with longer-term SHEQ improvements, including hazard reduction strategies, audit readiness, and management system development.
  • Receive a salary of £55,000, company car or £5,900 car allowance, discretionary bonus, fuel card, company credit card, mileage allowance, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

What We're Looking For:

  • Previous SHEQ/HSE experience within logistics, distribution, warehousing, or transport environments is essential.
  • NEBOSH Diploma, NVQ Level 5, NCRQ, or equivalent qualification is required.
  • IOSH membership is desirable.
  • Experience with audits, ISO standards, incident investigations, and safety management systems.
  • A self-sufficient SHEQ professional who can manage multiple priorities, influence stakeholders, and deliver improvements with limited supervision.
  • Someone who understands the realities of warehouse and transport environments and can engage effectively with frontline teams.

This is a key role for an experienced SHEQ professional who has managed complex operational environments and can make an immediate impact. A valid UK driving licence is essential, with regular travel expected across the site network.
