Responsibilities of the Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor:

  • Safety Culture & Engagement: Create a pragmatic and engaging safety environment across the business' South England operations.
  • Accident Prevention & Culture-Building: Lead the investigation of incidents, compile reports, and implement safety improvements all whilst growing a functioning Health and Safety culture across the business.
  • Risk Assessments & Compliance: Conduct and review risk assessments, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and several other Health and Safety standards.
  • Training & Upskilling: Support teams in understanding safety processes, empowering them to take responsibility for reporting and compliance.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience: 2-5 years' experience within health and safety.
  • Mindset: Proactive and engaging with a passion about driving safety culture.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, personable and a confident approach to interactions in the workplace.
  • Qualifications: NEBOSH diploma level or equivalent qualification is preferred but not essential - willing to be supported with this.
