Irwin and Colton have partnered with a market-leading, dynamic residential provider in order to identify their newest Health and Safety Adviser, reporting to the Head of Department. This role involves supporting the delivery of occupational health and safety initiatives across all group activities. You will focus on enhancing safety culture, ensuring compliance with legislation, and providing expert advice to stakeholders.
Key responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor:
- Support ongoing review and adherence to all health and safety policies, promoting best practices and legal compliance
- Develop and monitor health and safety systems, conducting audits and inspections across multiple sites and contractor activities
- Deliver engaging health and safety training and communicate complex information effectively to a variety of audiences
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders to influence a positive safety culture
- Assist in incident investigations, risk assessments, and development of effective mitigation strategies
