Health and Safety Advisor Circa £50,000 + Car Allowance and Benefits Kidlington, Oxford Irwin and Colton are working with a well-established utilities contractor to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business delivering essential utilities infrastructure and maintenance works across Oxford and the Northern Home Counties. The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams, providing practical health and safety support across a number of project sites. You will have the opportunity to work across multiple sites and play an important role in maintaining high standards and supporting a positive safety culture. Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor will include: Providing practical health and safety advice to site teams and operational management Carrying out regular site inspections and audits to monitor standards and identify areas for improvement Supporting teams with risk assessments, RAMS and safe systems of work Advising on higher-risk activities including excavations, confined spaces, lifting operations and work on live sitesThe successful Health and Safety Advisor will have: Previous experience in a Health and Safety role within utilities, construction, civil engineering or infrastructure Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with people at all levels A NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent health and safety qualification.
