We are seeking a proactive Health & Safety Lead to take charge of all UK operations at a manufacturing site.
This is a unique opportunity to establish robust safety processes, enhance compliance, and drive a lasting safety culture across multiple sites including Wigan, Epping, and Scunthorpe.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement H&S systems and procedures.
- Lead safety audits, risk assessments, and machinery safety reviews on all sites.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to improve machine guarding and engineering controls.
- Deliver practical safety training and coach managers to embed safety practices.
- Drive behavioural change initiatives, fostering a proactive safety culture.
Qualifications
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent, with strong machinery safety knowledge.
- Practical experience in manufacturing environments, with construction or engineering backgrounds advantageous.
- Ability to work independently and manage safety initiatives across multiple locations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
