Are you a detail-oriented health and safety professional with a knack for technical writing and a strong grasp of legislation?
Irwin and Colton are partnering with the industry's leading health and safety consultancy to find a Health and Safety Technical Consultant to join their team. You will be part of a specialist content team responsible for keeping all health and safety materials accurate, engaging, and aligned with the latest legal requirements. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in shaping clear, compliant guidance for both clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities for the Health and Safety Technical Consultant will include:
- Proactively maintain, review, and update health & safety guidance documents, ensuring alignment with the latest UK legislation and industry's best practices.
- Research emerging H&S topics and legislative changes to create high-quality technical content, including newsletters, articles, editorials, and client updates.
- Act as a subject matter expert for internal teams, offering guidance on sector-specific issues and supporting the use and development of the client-facing online platform.
- Deliver remote IOSH courses and internal training sessions for advice and sales teams.
The successful Health and Safety Technical Consultant will have:
- NEBOSH Diploma is required; Chartered IOSH is preferred (there is support to gain Chartered status if not already achieved).
- Background across various industries is a bonus, but not essential.
- Experience in translating legislation into reader-friendly content is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
