This Health and Safety Officer role in the Oldham area offers a unique opportunity to be part of safety initiatives across a large, legacy facility.
Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Officer will include:
- Assisting in ensuring the site is compliant with both UK legislation and in line with wider group strategy for health and safety.
- Delivering Risk Assessments across the site whilst accurately reporting on health and safety.
- Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders including senior management, operational staff and external regulators.
- Providing health and safety support across the site and always seeking opportunities to improve and develop health and safety.
The successful Health and Safety Officer will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role within manufacturing or a related field.
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
- A hands-on and visible approach, with the ability to be present across the site and actively engage with teams at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence and support colleagues.
- An enthusiastic, positive, and proactive attitude toward health, safety, and environmental best practices.
