Irwin and Colton are delighted to be partnering with a leading international organisation to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor. This international organisation plays a vital role in preserving places of remembrance and supporting the ongoing care and maintenance of significant sites around the world.
Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety, this hybrid role is ideal for a proactive self-starter who can help embed a positive Health and Safety culture within a dynamic and varied environment, with occasional travel to key sites across Europe, Africa and Asia.
Responsibilities:
- Supporting site teams with practical Health and Safety advice, feedback and guidance to drive continuous improvement, while assisting with the review of accidents, near misses and incident trends.
- Supporting annual monitoring plans with Regional and Country Managers, analysing performance and contributing to corrective and preventative actions.
- Assisting the Head of Health and Safety with maintaining and improving the organisation's Health and Safety management systems and wider framework.
- Supporting Health and Safety knowledge gap analyses and contributing to the delivery of effective training plans for staff.
Requirements:
- Previous experience within facilities management, horticulture, maintenance or related industries.
- NEBOSH or equivalent and relevant membership of IOSH.
- Excellent knowledge of ISO/OHSAS standards with experience in maintaining and updating these management systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive and flexible approach to safety.
- Experience operating in an international environment would be a distinct advantage.
