Irwin and Colton are pleased to be supporting a client who is continuing to grow, and an industry-leader in the facilities management space. The organisation is looking to bring on board a new Director of Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability. The vacancy is absolutely paramount to the QHSE and Sustainability strategy, leading at Group-level, with a team of multiple reports across the United Kingdom. The position will work very closely with the board, as well as reporting to the CPO and COO.

Responsibilities for the Director of Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability will include:
- Leading on all engagement with key stakeholders to drive a positive QHSE and Sustainability culture, from employees right through to the Executive board, as well as clients
- Leading closely with the support of wider business areas in the development and delivery of strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the QHSE and Sustainability function; both internally and externally
- Overseeing the assessment and development of the management systems and compliance in order to ensure that it reflects best practice
- To analyse company-wide risk and then drive strategy to mitigate those identified
The successful Director of Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability will have:
- Strong experience within a similar industry (facilities management / property / retail / hospitality); operating at Director-level already
- Strong experience in influencing, engaging, and liaising with stakeholders across all levels of organisations, up to the Executive board
- NEBOSH diploma qualified (or equivalent) and relevant membership of a professional body (Chartered Member of IOSH)
- Strong experience managing a team of QHSE professionals and working with both clients and contractors
- Excellent ability delivering regular reviews and presentations to the board
