We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to take ownership of the organisation's Health and Safety performance and drive continuous improvement across the business. This role combines hands-on operational support with strategic oversight, ensuring legal compliance, strengthening Health and Safety systems and documentation, and embedding a positive safety culture throughout the organisation. The successful candidate will be a visible and credible Health and Safety professional who can confidently influence behaviours at all levels while delivering regular reporting to the senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the organisation's Health and Safety strategy and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant UK Health and Safety legislation.
  • Develop, review and maintain Health and Safety policies, procedures and documentation.
  • Monitor Health and Safety performance, analyse trends and produce reports for senior management.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of UK Health and Safety legislation, regulations and best practice.
  • Experience monitoring Health and Safety performance and producing management reports.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership and drive improvements.
  • NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent) as a minimum requirement.
