We have partnered with one of the UK's leading independent secondary schools to identify their new Senior Health and Safety Advisor to lead the department and function across the campus, students, staff and public, whilst managing 1 direct report and reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Health and Safety Advisor will be:
- Manage and oversee the schools' health, safety, and fire safety systems ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across all departments to promote a proactive health & safety culture.
- Provide expert advice on health & safety and fire safety to senior management and staff.
- Lead risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety inspections across the campus.
- Develop and implement safety training programmes and contribute to safety-related projects and policies.
Requirements, Skills & Qualifications for this role will be:
- Chartered membership with IOSH or CIEH.
- Proven experience in health and safety leadership within complex environments, preferably education sector.
- Strong knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and risk management practices.
- Excellent communication, report writing, and relationship-building skills.
