Β£70,000 + Car or Car allowance + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced Environmental professional looking to lead a team and take ownership of environmental delivery on major projects? Do you want to join one of the UK's largest principal contractors, working on complex, high-impact infrastructure projects?

This newly created position sits within a highly successful infrastructure contractor with a turnover of over Β£1 billion and a strong track record in delivering major construction and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Providing practical environmental guidance across live construction sites, managing permits, consents, surveys, and mitigation measures to ensure compliance and minimise risk.
  • Leading the Environment Team who are undertaking site inspections, audits, and investigations, addressing findings and embedding improvements.
  • Monitoring environmental performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Acting as the key point of contact for external regulators and stakeholders on environmental matters.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant environmental or technical field.
  • Member of ISEP, ideally actively working toward Chartered status.
  • Strong understanding of environmental consents, permits, and surveys.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within teams, manage multiple tasks, and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience within the construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or related industry.
