Health and Safety Site Manager - 9-Month FTC
Salary: Β£50,000 (pro-rated for 9 months)
Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester
Are you an experienced Site Manager with a passion for delivering large-scale construction projects safely and efficiently? Would you thrive in a role where you can lead complex site activities, ensure strict health and safety compliance, and manage multiple contractors seamlessly?
Join a leading manufacturer in the construction sector as a Site Manager on a fixed-term 9-month contract. You will oversee the safe delivery of a factory upgrade, including a green hydrogen fuel switch project, ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing day-to-day site operations, coordinating subcontractors, and overseeing site activities in line with CDM 2015 regulations
- Implementing and monitoring construction phase plans and safe systems of work to ensure health and safety standards are upheld
- Leading site meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings to promote a strong safety culture
- Reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and progress reports to keep projects on track
- Maintaining accurate site documentation, including permits, inspections, and safety records
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience managing construction sites within an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Strong knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015, health and safety legislation, and risk management
- SMSTS certification, CSCS manager card, and demonstrable leadership skills
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and lead safety initiatives professionally
