Irwin and Colton have been engaged to support a leading property organisation with the recruitment of a dedicated Quality, Safety, Health and Environment (QSHE) Manager for its M&E and Engineering division.

This is a pivotal role in the development of new business, with responsibility for establishing and embedding the QHSE framework, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting site audits, supporting new contract set‑ups from a H&S perspective, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Working closely with engineering teams, clients and key stakeholders, the QSHE Manager will play a key role in building a strong safety culture and putting the systems, processes and standards in place to support the division's future growth and development.

The successful QSHE Manager will:

  • Oversee compliance with all QSHE-related systems and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform regular site audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Support the setup of new contracts, conducting initial QSHE assessments and documentation.
  • Develop and deliver safety training and toolbox talks for employees and contractors.
  • Promote a positive safety culture across all levels of the UK engineering network.

The ideal QSHE Manager will have:

  • Health and Safety experience within facilities management or building services is ideal.
  • NEBOSH Diploma with associated membership of IOSH or equivalent
  • Proven ability to lead safety initiatives and develop policies.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
