Health and Safety Advisor
Peterborough | Circa £55,000 + Car/Allowance
Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a leading Civil Engineering and Construction company to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor. This role will oversee high‑profile civils and construction projects primarily across the Peterborough area. It presents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious health and safety professional seeking to further develop their career with a respected industry leader.
Responsibilities
- Implementing Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures across project sites
- Collaborating with project teams during planning phases to ensure HSE considerations are fully embedded throughout all stages
- Reviewing and supporting the production of risk assessments and method statements, and providing guidance on health and safety-related queries
- Carrying out site audits and inspections, and leading or supporting incident investigations where required
Qualifications
- Experience in a similar role, ideally within civil engineering, construction, or a related sector
- NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent qualification)
- A proactive approach, with strong drive, enthusiasm, and a commitment to continual learning and professional growth
