This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of safety initiatives across a number of large facilities, while enjoying support with further development with your Health and Safety qualifications and skills.
Responsibilities:
- Support and develop Health and Safety initiatives across a number of port terminals dealing with high-risk materials and advising on legal compliance and technical risk.
- Help shape and maintain ISO management systems 9001, 14001 and 45001 across several operational areas.
- Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders including senior management, operational staff and external regulators, to embed a positive safety culture.
- Produce detailed, literate and technically sound reports to support compliance and audits.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role within a similar high-risk, heavy industry.
- NEBOSH General Certificate as a minimum, ideally working towards Level 5 qualification or higher.
- Excellent communication skills with proven experience engaging colleagues and a wide range of stakeholders, both in written and spoken English.
- Comfortable navigating technical safety risks, such as manual handling, large moving equipment and hazardous materials.
- Experience with ISO 45001, 9001 and 14001 is desirable.
