Senior Health & Safety Manager | Scarborough | Up to £75,000 + Bonus
Are you passionate about creating a proactive safety culture where every team member takes ownership of safety? Would you like to lead health and safety initiatives in a dynamic manufacturing environment, driving change from the shop floor to leadership levels?
This opportunity involves deploying and coordinating the site's health and safety policy, shaping culture, influencing leaders, and inspiring teams to embed safety as a core value. You will be at the heart of the leadership team, focusing on continuous improvement and full compliance.
The key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing health & safety strategies aligned with legal and regional standards.
- Leading risk assessments and establishing safe systems of work to mitigate hazards.
- Influencing and coaching site leadership to promote a strong safety culture and ownership at all levels.
- Managing incident investigations, root cause analysis, and reporting to drive ongoing safety improvements.
- Ensuring the site's ISO 45001 management system and audit readiness.
You will have:
- NEBOSH Diploma.
- Extensive experience within manufacturing environments, preferably food manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of ISO 45001 and safety management systems.
- Demonstrable leadership, influencing skills, and the ability to work hands-on at all levels of the organisation.
