Irwin and Colton are partnering with a global manufacturing organisation to recruit a Global Health and Safety Lead. With operations spanning multiple continents and thousands of employees worldwide, this is a business with an established international presence and an ambitious vision for the future.
This newly created Group-level position offers the opportunity to define and embed the future Health and Safety operating model during an exciting period of transformation. Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will work closely with regional Health and Safety leaders across North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America to strengthen governance, improve performance and drive a more proactive, data-led approach to Health and Safety across the organisation.
Responsibilities of the Global Health and Safety Lead will include:
- Developing and delivering the Group Health & Safety strategy
- Partnering with divisional leaders to drive consistency, performance and best practice
- Improving the use of data, reporting and insights to support decision-making
- Supporting the implementation of a new global Health & Safety software platform
- Reviewing policies, standards and assurance processes across the Group
The successful Global Health and Safety Lead will have:
- A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent level of qualification
- Exposure to North American operations and OSHA requirements
- Significant experience in a senior Health & Safety role within a global, matrix organisation
- Experience developing governance frameworks, operating systems and Group standards
- A background within manufacturing, engineering or other high-risk environments
