Sustainability Manager
London | £50,000 – £60,000 Plus Excellent Benefits
Irwin and Colton have been engaged by a well-established affordable housing organisation, that has over 17,000 properties across the UK to recruit a Sustainability Manager to join their established ESG team. The company have ambitious growth targets and are continuing to keep the Environmental agenda at the heart of their operations. This is an integral role in helping them achieve their net-zero targets.
This is a hybrid working position that will include site travel.
Responsibilities for the Sustainability Manager will include:
- Assisting on the development of the Energy and Sustainability strategy, implementing action points throughout the organisation
- Identifying areas of improvement and providing solutions within energy, carbon and cost reductions, ensuring building compliance and suitable EPC ratings
- Monitoring utility usage and the analysis of energy and water data to identify opportunities for reduction.
- Ensuring accurate reporting and communicating this across the organisation
The successful Sustainability Manager will have:
- Proven experience in a similar role ideally within housing, property, facilities management, energy or related field.
- Ideally a degree in Environment, Sustainability or related subject and ideally membership of IEMA or the Energy Institute
- Excellent communications skills with proven experience engaging a wide range of stakeholders
- A strong technical knowledge across environment and sustainability, and ideally energy.
