We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to lead health and safety performance across a varied portfolio of construction projects in the Northeast. This is a great opportunity to manage a small team of health and safety professionals, drive legal compliance, and build a positive safety culture across the region. The role will involve providing expert advice, carrying out audits, and supporting project teams to identify, manage, and reduce health and safety risks effectively.
Responsibilities of the Regional Health and Safety Manager include:
- Oversee health and safety performance across multiple sites and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct audits, site visits, investigations and analyse SHE data to ensure compliance with legal and company standards.
- Lead and support incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented swiftly.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote best health and safety practices and training.
- Manage and support a team of health and safety professionals across the region, ensuring effective remote leadership.
The successful Regional Health and Safety Manager will have:
- In-depth SHE knowledge within the construction industry and experience managing health and safety teams.
- Valid driving license and appropriate CSCS card.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and simplify complex health and safety topics.
- Ideally hold a Level 6 qualification in Health and Safety (or equivalent).
