Senior Health, Safety and Environmental Manager
Maidstone, Kent | £74,000 + Benefits
Are you ready to step into a key leadership role and help shape the health, safety and environmental culture at a leading property developer?
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Health, Safety and Environmental Manager with a successful housebuilder and developer. The role will oversee a range of projects across the Kent region. With a recent turnover of over £150 million and a strong track record of successful operations in the UK, this position plays a crucial part in the company's continued growth and success.
The role will report directly to the HSEQ Director.
Responsibilities of the Senior Health, Safety and Environmental Manager will include:
- Supporting the HSEQ Director with strategic reports, ESG and group strategy meetings, pre-construction and director tours, and board-level updates.
- Promoting a strong safety and environmental culture through behavioural change and ongoing employee engagement.
- Assisting in the development, implementation, and maintenance of ISO-certified management systems (ISO 14001, 9001 & 45001).
- Representing the business in client meetings and liaising with external regulatory bodies.
The successful Senior Health, Safety and Environmental Manager will have:
- Proven experience in a similar HSEQ role within construction, housebuilding, or a related sector.
- Strong working knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation and best practices.
- A NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent)
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
This position will require a self starter who can lead by example and hit the ground running; excellent communication skills are essential. The position will include travel, therefore a valid UK driving licence is required.
