We are proud to partner with a leading global manufacturer of advanced technology and engineering systems to recruit a Head of Health, Safety and Environment. With a global presence, this role is dedicated to overseeing Health, Safety, and Environment initiatives at their flagship site in Buckinghamshire with occasional travel to Cheltenham.
The Head of Health, Safety, and Environment will become an integral part of the company's foundation, playing a pivotal role in driving its ongoing success and future achievements.
Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the site is compliant with both UK legislation and in line with wider Group strategy for Health, Safety and Environment
- Developing and implementing new initiatives to increase health and safety performance, awareness and understanding across the business
- Overseeing regular auditing across safety, health and environmental performance, accurately reporting and investigating incidents and near misses
- Engaging with key internal and external stakeholders including contractors, regulators, and relevant enforcement agencies
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar role ideally within a manufacturing, chemical or industrial environment
- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (minimum) and membership of IOSH or other relevant professional body
- Ideally hold NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
- A strong technical knowledge across relevant health, safety and environment legislation
