ESG Business Partner
Birmingham | Hybrid with site travel
£50-£55K + Company Car + Bonus Scheme and more
We're partnering with a market leader in the building materials and interiors sector on the search for a new ESG Business Partner. This is a key role focused on driving progress across their circular economy, waste, and wider environmental goals.
Following a successful period building foundational strategy and achieving ISO 14001 certification, the business is now looking to take their next step forward and this hire will play a central part in that journey.
The role will report into the ESG Director and work across a large, national operational network to roll out high-impact ESG initiatives, shape long-term sustainability efforts, and support on key environmental reporting requirements.
Responsibilities for the ESG Business Partner will include:
- Lead the rollout of the takeback and recovery program, including on-site recycling centers, and manage waste and recycling partnerships.
- Support circular economy initiatives and sustainable design, identifying opportunities to drive value and innovation.
- Maintain oversight of ISO 14001 and environmental compliance, supporting audits and monitoring performance across operations.
- Contribute to ESG reporting (including TCFD and emissions), and build strong relationships across operations, supply chain, and senior stakeholders.
The successful ESG Business Partner will have:
- Experience in waste, recycling, or environmental management, ideally within operational or supply chain environments.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001, environmental compliance, and relevant legislation such as packaging regulations and EPR
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across a range of stakeholders
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a willingness to bring new ideas
