If the answer to the above is yes, then you may be interested in the Environment Manager we are currently recruiting for. The organisation currently turnover in excess of £3 billion and have a track record of successful operations across major construction and infrastructure projects, whilst keeping sustainability at the heart of their operations. This position will be joining a well-established team and will be focusing on a major project they have in Birmingham.

Responsibilities for the Environment Manager will include:

  • Ensuring the delivery of the environmental policy, and compliance with legislation and regulations across two major projects.
  • Ensure the implementation of the Environment and Sustainability strategy and support the development of this with the project teams.
  • Carrying out site inspections and audits and undertaking preliminary environmental assessment, as well as providing environmental training where required
  • Acting as the main point of contact for the environment and sustainability program with key stakeholders including clients, contractors, and regulators

The successful Environment Manager will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role ideally within the construction, infrastructure or wider built environment
  • Ideally a degree in a relevant Environmental related subject
  • Experience with Environmental management systems e.g., ISO14001, waste management plans and ideally carbon and energy reporting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ideally experience working closely with stakeholders
