Our organisation is all about people - the people who live in our homes, the communities we serve, and those we work with. We recruit for attitude and behaviour which are central to building relationships and delivering great experiences. We employ colleagues who are passionate about making a difference and who will take responsibility to get things done.

As a not-for-profit housing association, we provide affordable homes and services to more than 20,000 people across Greater Manchester. We have a strong social purpose and make it our mission to enable people to live well in their home and community.

This role will help us to do this by providing a professional painting and decorating service, delivering an excellent customer experience and adhering to health and safety regulations and organisational policies and procedures.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Carrying out all aspects of painting and decorating to customers' homes and empty properties.
  • Undertaking supplementary-skilled tasks such as patch plastering, making good defects to architraves and skirting boards, applying mould growth treatments as per manufacturers' specifications.
  • Delivering an excellent customer experience by understanding the different needs of our customers and tailoring your approach.
  • Leaving customers' homes clean and safe and disposing of any waste in line with our company policy.
  • Reporting any potential repairs and safeguarding issues that you notice in the customers' homes.

We need people who have:

  • Experience of painting and decorating work and associated multitasking activities in customers' homes.
  • Sound building and construction knowledge.
  • General building maintenance repair knowledge.
  • City and Guilds Parts I, II or NVQ Level 2 in Painting and Decorating.
  • A full valid driving licence.

Everyone's welcome here. Our culture is inclusive, and we are committed to increasing diversity. We enable everyone to be themselves at work, so that they feel at home with us. We trust and support people to do their best, in a role that is fulfilling and rewarding because we know that this helps us to deliver better outcomes for our customers and our colleagues.

We also encourage applications from females across the association in areas where we are underrepresented like Trades and Construction. If you want to be part of our team and help us make a difference, we'd love to hear from you.
