As a not-for-profit housing association, we provide affordable homes and services to more than 20,000 people across Greater Manchester. This role will help us to do this by reviewing previous survey information to ensure they reflect the current status of the properties and to assist generally within the Asset Management team carrying out other surveys, such as Energy Performance Certificates and Retrofit Assessments, as required.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Actively conducting stock condition surveys across the Irwell Valley portfolio ensuring any changes to stock are accurately and consistently recorded to update the organisations asset register through robust, accurate and concise data recording.
  • Gathering information relating to previous and current planned programmes and using this data to update existing stock condition component information.
  • Updating and interpreting information retained within the asset management databases.
  • Assisting with the overall management and delivery of major works by the Planned Surveyors team.
  • Occasional gathering and recording of data for a full Energy Performance Certificate.
  • Occasional requests for gathering data for Retrofit Assessments.

We need people who are or have:

  • Experience in property surveying, inspections, or housing stock condition surveys.
  • Accredited Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) qualification.
  • Experience working in social housing or local authority environment.
  • Knowledge of PAS 2035 / retrofit frameworks.
