This role will allow you to develop your knowledge in fire safety regulations and assist Irwell Valley Homes to comply with our statutory obligations. You will receive full training and support to help you carry out this role with ongoing mentoring and the chance to develop and progress your career in fire safety with the opportunity to further your knowledge with external qualifications for the right person.
You will be inspecting the communal areas of our blocks to ensure we continue to comply with all relevant legislation. The core task is to make sure all our blocks are visited on a weekly or monthly basis and make a record of this inspection. You will assist the Fire Safety Team with other tasks such as allowing access for contractors and putting up fire safety signage, whilst achieving customer satisfaction and assistance in the management of associated risks.
We need people who are / have:
- Experience of completing inspections / audits
- Providing a high standard of customer care and service
- IT literate including Microsoft Office 365
- Interpersonal skills for liaising with colleagues and customers
- General knowledge of the Regulatory Reform FSO 2005 and best practice in fire safety would be desirable but not essential
- Fire Safety qualifications / NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate would be desirable
Due to the nature of the role, a full valid driving licence is required.
