This role will help us to do this by supporting the delivery of an effective repairs and empty homes service by providing an effective technical inspection and surveying service. As a Property Inspector you will adopt all necessary health and safety practices and any relevant safe systems of work. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, systems and software related to Health and Safety at work.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Undertaking technical empty homes and repairs related inspections.
  • Carrying out pre and post inspections in line with service requirements.
  • Providing technical advice as required in repairs and empty homes related matters.
  • Undertaking inspections to ensure relevant H&S compliance.
  • Supporting the investigation of customer complaints, support any remedial works, resolve site issues and give advice and information as required.
  • Continuously assessing and managing risk within the Risk Framework, actively implement control and improvement measures.

We need people who are/have:

  • IT literate including Microsoft Office 365.
  • Knowledge of construction methods and an ability to diagnose building defects.
  • Knowledge of housing management information systems.
  • Experience undertaking property surveys and building diagnostics inspections.
  • Experience of H&S and legislative and regulatory requirements for a construction related function.
  • Full valid driving licence and access to own vehicle.
