£40,101.08 per annum, plus On Call Payments (approx. £4000). Manchester, Greater Manchester. Permanent, Full Time. 39 hours per week (Mon-Thurs 08:00 – 16:30, Fri 08:00-15:30).
Overview
Our organisation is a not-for-profit housing association providing affordable homes and services to more than 20,000 people across Greater Manchester. Our mission is to enable people to live well in their homes and community. This role helps us by delivering a professional electrical service that adheres to the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations, health and safety regulations, and organisational policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Carry out all aspects of electrical works in customers’ homes and empty properties.
- Repair or replace electrical fittings and diagnose and rectify electrical faults.
- Complete relevant certification to BS: 7671, including EICR, Minor Works and Installation certificates.
- Deliver an excellent customer experience by understanding the different needs of customers and tailoring your approach.
- Be easy to deal with and honour commitments.
- Report any potential repairs and safeguarding issues noticed in customers’ homes.
- Update your PDA in real time on a job’s status and communicate with planners if customers are not at home or jobs are not viable.
Qualifications
- City and Guilds Parts I, II & III or NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation works.
- City and Guilds 2391 or 2394 and 2395.
- Current BS:7671 qualification (18th Edition Regulations).
- Experience in a similar role and in certifying electrical works.
- Experience in testing and inspection of domestic dwellings.
- Sound knowledge of building, construction, and general maintenance/repair.
- Experience in working with IT systems (email, Word, and Excel).
- Full valid driving licence.
