As our Communications and Engagement Specialist, you will play a vital part in supporting Irwell Valley Homes' regeneration programmes. You will deliver clear, accessible and timely communications to residents and stakeholders, coordinate engagement activities and help build trust and transparency throughout the regeneration process.
Working closely with project managers, housing colleagues, local partners and residents, you will ensure communities are informed, heard and actively involved in shaping the future of their neighbourhoods.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Communications - Produce clear, resident-focused content that explains complex or sensitive regeneration activities in an accessible and engaging way.
- Customer and Community Engagement – Assist in developing and facilitating customer groups, project panels and other involvement structures.
- Stakeholder Relations – Help maintain effective communication and engagement with local authorities, community groups, contractors, elected members and other regeneration partners.
- Project Support - Contribute to communication and engagement plans, ensuring actions are delivered on time and in line with agreed deadlines.
We need people who have:
- Higher education qualification, such as CIPR or CIM certificate, and/or a degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to enable meaningful engagement.
- Creativity and copywriting skills to produce high quality communications which are informative and engaging.
- Ability to translate technical or complex information into clear, accessible language.
- Knowledge of media and public affairs activities.
- Knowledge of best practice in stakeholder engagement.
- Full valid driving licence.
