Irwell Valley Homes is a housing association providing affordable homes and services to over 16,000 people across Greater Manchester and employing over 280 colleagues. We are a charitable registered provider of social housing and offer homes mainly for social rent with some for affordable rent, market rent, and shared ownership. We also provide homes with support for people with dementia, mental health issues, learning and physical disabilities, those who have been made homeless and people affected by domestic abuse. We work in partnership with specialist organisations to help customers sustain their tenancies and shape services through engagement.
Role purpose and responsibilities
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure information is supplied in a timely manner and in the correct format to update the compliance management system.
- Carry out reconciliation checks between the association’s compliance management system and the housing management system to ensure data held is accurate.
- Monitor dashboards from the compliance management system and report accordingly.
- Provide operational support to the Compliance Team and record and monitor Irwell Valley Homes statutory obligations to meet or exceed regulatory duties.
- Coordinate contractors and consultants for compliance activity.
- Support the Compliance Team with administration and reporting needs; obtain performance information through IT reporting systems.
- Drive and have access to a car (where applicable).
Required experience and skills
- Oversight experience and audit experience of compliance-related programmes and escalation of risk to the compliance manager.
- Educated to a good standard or equivalent through relevant training/experience.
- Awareness of compliance obligations for water hygiene and asbestos.
- Experience in coordinating contractors and consultants for compliance activity.
- Strong planning, organization and administration skills.
- Experience of raising orders and processing invoices.
- IT literate including Microsoft Office 365 and the ability to produce letters, reports and Excel spreadsheets.
- Ability to obtain performance information through effective use of IT reporting systems.
- Ability to drive and have access to a car.
