What You'll Do

  • Promote positive proactive resident interactions that provide a high-quality Irvine Company experience
  • Fulfill resident service requests unit turns and preventative maintenance work throughout the apartment community.
  • Ensure community common areas and grounds are maintained according to Company standards conduct inspections and identify and resolve any hazards.
  • Maintain inventory of parts and appliances conduct general maintenance and maintain the orderliness of facilities.
  • Complete preventive maintenance on the property and required systems and equipment.
  • Perform Porter functions as necessary.
  • Performs work using safe work practices. Ensures completion of safety training and actively investigates and mitigates risks.
  • Smaller Communities: Duties include completing both maintenance service requests and turnover of apartments. You may work alone.
  • Larger Communities: You may work on a team that completes maintenance service requests or turnover of apartments.

  • Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations
  • Valid California driver’s license valid vehicle insurance
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English both verbally and in writing. Multilingual abilities are a plus.
  • On-call required for after-hours emergencies schedule may require work on weekends holidays and evenings.
  • Regular consistent and timely attendance is required.
  • Ability to move in and out of a variety of positions which include the following: sitting standing walking squatting stair and ladder climbing kneeling belly crawling overhead reaching lifting and carrying.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 118 pounds of force.
  • Ability to lift below waist up to 77 pounds and above waist 45 lbs.
  • Must complete and pass the pulmonary exam and respirator fit test.
