We are seeking to appoint a cleaner to join our maintenance team in Irthlingborough Nursery and Infant School from September 2026. As a cleaner, you will be responsible for the day-to-day cleaning of an area of the school and ensuring it meets health, safety and hygiene standards for students, staff, and visitors.
The successful candidates will:
- have responsibility for the day-to-day cleaning throughout the school ensuring high standards are maintained.
- have good organisational and time management skills.
- be a team player.
- be able to meet the physical demands of the role.
- have good communication skills.
You should be able to work using your own initiative but also as part of a team. Previous cleaning experience is desirable, but not essential as training can be provided.
Hours of Work: 3:15pm to 5:45pm, Monday to Friday. Term time, and one week during the school holiday period as required, a total of 39 weeks per year. Please note that holidays cannot be taken in term time, but an allowance for holiday entitlement is paid accordingly.
