The opportunity

Unity Engine Support provides technical solutions to our customers’ hardest problems. We must work with our customers’ in-development projects on a regular basis.

Our customers have a wide variety of problems, some of which are only demonstrable using their actual projects. This is where you step in, with a good understanding of software build processes, curiosity, flexibility and positivity. Our QA engineers build, maintain and test our growing list of customer projects, so that they are available and ready to be used to investigate customer issues. You will also help reproduce hard to replicate issues and strip large projects down to the essentials so that they can be delivered along with bug reports.

In return, you will be rewarded with fresh challenges on a daily basis, and get to work with our support engineers to nurture some of the most exciting games and simulations in development today!

This is a permanent position based in our Brighton office. You will not be required to travel, but there might be opportunities to visit customer locations.

What you\’ll be doing

  • Pull, manage, build and run our customer’s projects
  • Work closely with our support engineers to reproduce customer issues and solve problems
  • Deploy Unity projects to a range of hardware platforms
  • Strip large projects down to the essentials
  • Help maintain our catalogue of platform hardware (desktops, laptops and mobile devices) for ease of use by the team

What we\’re looking for

  • Experience in building and testing large software projects
  • Problem solving skills and detail-oriented approach
  • Working understanding of modern version control systems
  • Willingness to learn new skills

You might also have

  • Familiarity with automated build systems
  • Working understanding of an object oriented programming language
  • Prior experience in game development ideally in Unity
