Iron Mountain are seeking an organised, results driven & dedicated individual to join the Project Delivery Team based on the Sellafield Site, as a Data Centre Specialist. Reporting to the Project Supervisor, the Data Centre Specialist will work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver a wide range of services, supporting the client’s business needs in the most cost effective and customer satisfying manner. They will work individually and alongside the team to prep, scan, Quality Check, Destroy and Archive records.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities will include:

  • Preparation of records
  • Scanning of records into Iris Powerscan
  • Complete Quality Checking of records
  • Check and run reports in preparation for archiving
  • Identification and management of historic records, resulting in refined local processes/management of the records to offsite storage including:
    • Sorting of legacy records
    • Boxing of legacy records
    • Bagging of Legacy records for destruction
  • Support with ad-hoc demands of the Sellafield Information and Records Management Team.

The successful candidate must be a self starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They must be able to conduct themselves in a professional and mature manner at all times and adhere to Iron Mountain core values. Full support and training is provided to assist in the multi skilled role. This role will require the individual to be adaptable and have a ‘can do’ approach to a multifunctional skilled role within the Records Management Service.

The successful candidate will have:

  • The ability to work effectively and collaboratively across several teams
  • A strong work ethic with an ability to manage workload while efficiently and effectively prioritising responsibilities to meet Targets
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Exceptional diligence and attention to detail as well as resourcefulness and quick, agile thinking in a demanding environment
  • Ability to build and develop successful long term relationships with customers, other teams and departments within Iron Mountain
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision

Desirable but not essential for application:

  • SC Clearance P4 Pass
  • Previous Experience of the Sellafield Site
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word
