Your role in our mission: Reporting to the W&L Commercial Director in UK, Ireland, and being part of the European Commercial team, W&L Global Strategy & Solutions Design team, this role will need an experienced individual who can shape opportunities for customers to meet the demands of our growing Warehousing & Logistics Business. The role will focus on the UK & Irish markets leading the sales work to deliver our ambitious growth targets and will support other global markets and opportunities as needed to meet the corporate objectives of the W&L business.
The role will provide crucial industry experience to develop and refine logistics solutions for customers, working with Operational colleagues to ensure we can meet client needs with the right commercial solution. It’s a role that spans Operations, Commercial and Product Development to ensure we are well placed to deliver the growth.
- Lead the development of innovative, scalable, and cost-effective logistics solutions that meet client requirements and align with the company’s strategic goals.
- Design and presentation of warehouse capital investments, processes and determination of costs involved.
- Ensure logistics solutions are developed in a timely manner to meet customers’ expectations and show Iron Mountain to be a responsive and collaborative partner.
- Work closely with Operational and Systems colleagues to ensure every requirement is captured and commercial risk is minimised.
- Build contract mobilisation programmes to demonstrate how we bring our solutions to life.
- Develop workflows for customers that balance internal standard processes with specific customer requirements.
- Ensure the commercial model for opportunities fits with the customer expectations.
- Work with the wider W&L team to develop our W&L Product offerings over time.
Valued skills and experience: The ideal candidate will have multiple years of experience in Contract Logistics; preferably in a mix of organisations and sectors, including:
- Working on large and complex projects.
- Experience of commercial pricing and financial structures of operations and contracts.
- Track record of solving and closing large, recurring deals within the Retail/FMCG, E-com, High Tech Industry customers.
- Track record of developing complex logistics solutions for customers, including evaluation and selection of automation to optimize productivity and reduce labour availability risk exposure, subsequently turning into sales.
- Be used to working in a global organisation and collaborative matrix structure.
- Be used to working under timelines pressure and ambiguity.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Visio) and Google applications.
- Modelling tools like CAST, CLASS, Paragon, Autocad or similar.
