Iron Mountain is seeking a skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our UK Secure IT team. In this role, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining critical networking infrastructure required to meet the company’s growing requirements, customer certifications, and regulatory assessments within the UK Government sector. As a technology expert, you will interact with Infrastructure and Operations teams to ensure strong alignment and partnership on defined IT priorities.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead the implementation and support of UK Government networking infrastructure, primarily focusing on Cisco platforms, SD-WAN technologies, and advanced Data Center security.
  • Collaborate on high-impact project teams by reviewing deployment plans, guiding fellow engineers, and partnering with Risk Management and QA for production roll‑outs.
  • Ensure operational excellence and compliance through full lifecycle management of equipment in Secure Data Centers, maintaining capacity reports, and overseeing asset inventory documentation.

What You’ll Bring

  • Significant experience in advanced Cisco systems, including ACI Switching, ISE, and Wireless platforms, as well as SD-WAN principles.
  • Strong knowledge of automation and scripting platforms such as Ansible and Terraform, and content delivery platforms like F5 and Riverbed.
  • Proven ability in proactive problem‑solving and stakeholder management, with the communication skills necessary to influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Mandatory security credentials, including UK residency for the previous five years and the ability to obtain and maintain governmental security clearance.
