The Opportunity: Senior Manager, Benefits (Regional Lead)

Summary: Iron Mountain is seeking a strategic and experienced Senior Manager, Benefits (Regional Lead) to join our Global Total Rewards team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving regional benefits strategy, leading a high-performing team, and ensuring the financial sustainability and compliance of all benefit programs across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). You will join a dynamic and collaborative Total Rewards team dedicated to fostering an inclusive and competitive employee experience that supports our "Mountaineers" across the globe.

What You’ll Do In this role, you will:

  • Drive Regional Strategy: Act as a transformative leader driving benefits design and delivery across your region.
  • Lead & Mentor: Represent and lead an effective regional benefits team, providing mentorship and guidance to help team members reach their full potential while fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Ensure Design & Accountability: Hold overall accountability for the design and delivery of compliant, financially sustainable benefits, including paid and unpaid time-off programs.
  • Collaborate Globally & Locally: Report to the Sr. Director of International Benefits. Represent the regional benefits team and partner with key local HR, procurement, finance, and business leaders.
  • Align with Corporate Frameworks: Ensure team members understand core design principles and their alignment with the broader business strategy and global framework.
  • Manage Renewals & Financials: Lead annual plan renewals, including plan design, cost-sharing strategies, funding recommendations, and overall budget management in partnership with leadership.
  • Leverage Data Analytics: Use data to understand cost drivers, mitigate risks, and identify opportunities to optimize financial cost management.
  • Maintain Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict compliance, strong financial controls, and accurate plan documentation, filings, audits, and required notices across all country-specific and local regulations.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Set the framework for delivering a "frictionless" employee experience, ensuring timely issue resolution and robust controls around eligibility, billing, and data feeds.
  • Support HR M&A & Benchmarking: Establish controls and governance to act as an active partner on all M&A activities. Benchmark all benefits and wellness areas to evaluate and evolve our competitiveness within the changing total rewards landscape.
  • Manage Strategic Vendors: Partner with global brokers to establish strong governance. Manage vendors effectively against key performance indicators (KPIs) to deliver clear, engaging employee education and decision support.
  • Deliver Clear Communications: Communicate effectively with local stakeholders, HR partners, leadership, and Mountaineers to market benefit programs and convey plan changes clearly.
  • Standardize Operations: Enforce accurate documentation, process flows, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and program reporting for audits and leadership updates.
