Iron Mountain is seeking a skilled and proactive Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join our Magna Park Rugby Campus team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and optimisation of our high-density MOVU shuttle-based storage system to ensure peak operational efficiency.
You’ll be working a twilight night shift pattern from Monday night through to Friday morning, with the added benefit of daytime availability during the week and long weekends, giving you the perfect balance of focused night work and extended time off to relax and recharge.
What You’ll Do (Core Responsibilities)
- Lead the maintenance and optimisation of the MOVU shuttle-based storage system by performing scheduled and condition-based inspections to ensure maximum throughput.
- Collaborate with site teams, contractors, and technology suppliers to execute technical diagnostics and rapid fault rectification using Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) systems.
- Ensure compliance with strict health and safety frameworks, statutory legal requirements, and internal quality standards while maintaining accurate engineering documentation.
What You’ll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)
- Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting highly automated industrial machinery and high-throughput systems.
- Strong knowledge of Electrical and Mechanical engineering (ideally 70/30 bias) and technical proficiency with Siemens or similar Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) platforms.
- Proven ability to diagnose complex faults using a systematic approach while working flexibly across different shifts and at varying heights.
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering or an equivalent industry-standard qualification.
