Iron Mountain is seeking a strategic Operations Manager to lead our team and drive operational excellence within a shared user or dedicated customer operation . In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire operation, from receiving through shipping, and ensuring the efficient and effective flow of goods across various UK locations . You will focus on optimizing operations, minimizing costs, maximizing productivity, and upholding the highest standards of safety and quality .
What You\’ll Do
In this role, you will:
- Lead the entire warehouse operation, encompassing receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management, ensuring strict adherence to customer-specific requirements .
- Develop and implement strategic plans, including continuous improvement initiatives and succession planning to optimize warehouse efficiency and cost-effectiveness .
- Establish and enforce warehouse policies and safety protocols, conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with all regulations and company standards .
- Manage and develop a team of warehouse Team Leaders, providing the guidance, training, and performance evaluations necessary to support professional growth .
- Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions for continuous operational improvement .
What You\’ll Bring
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience in warehouse management, preferably within a 3PL, E-commerce, or high-volume distribution environment .
- Proven track record of success in optimizing operations, reducing costs, and achieving high performance through a data and metric-driven approach .
- Expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)and modern inventory control methodologies .
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the demonstrated ability to motivate, coach, and develop a diverse team of personnel .
- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to produce reports, interpret complex data, and identify actionable trends .
