The opportunity Iron Mountain is seeking a strategic, accomplished UK & Ireland Employee Relations/Labour Relations/HR Generalist Leader to join our Human Resources team. Please note: This position is a 6 month fixed term contract.

Position Overview: You will lead the UK and Ireland team of ER/LR/HR Generalist professionals, serving as the primary strategist for UK and Ireland-specific matters. Working closely with the EMEA Lead (and providing support to the EMEA team/lead as needed), you will drive the continuous elevation of our ER/LR/HRG capabilities, service delivery, and operational efficiencies. You will be the technical lead for UK compliance, ensuring readiness for the Employment Rights Act and other regulatory updates.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership & Partnership: Lead the UK ER/LR and HR Generalist team, ensuring alignment with EMEA-wide and global strategies while tailoring execution to the UK market. Providing support to the EMEA team/lead as needed.
  • Compliance & Legal Readiness: Lead UK efforts on compliance, with a primary focus on readiness for the Employment Rights Act and associated legislative changes, ensuring full operational agility and risk mitigation. Advise UK leadership on labor implications and maintain robust relationships with UK-based employee representatives/unions where applicable.
  • Continuous Improvement & Service Optimization: Serve as the technical ER lead for complex investigations, M&A, divestitures, and reorganizations, ensuring seamless integration and legal compliance across diverse jurisdictions. Standardize UK processes to improve employee and manager experience, aligning with global and EMEA standards.
  • Data-Driven Insights & System Innovation: Help build and implement ER/LR tooling and systems to capture granular data across the UK, leveraging data analytics to proactively identify ER trends and inform business decisions.
