Job Description

Iron Mountain is seeking an organized, results-driven, and dedicated individual to join the Project Delivery Team based at Hinton House, Risley, as a Data Centre Specialist.

Iron Mountain is the industry leader in Records Management, supporting the Sellafield and Risley contracts, including document scanning, transportation, secure storage, and document management.

Reporting to the Project Supervisor, the Data Centre Specialist will work with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver a wide range of services, supporting the client’s business needs in the most cost-effective and customer-satisfying manner.

Responsibilities include preparing, scanning, quality checking, destroying, and archiving records.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Preparation of records
  2. Scanning records into Iris Powerscan
  3. Completing quality checks of records
  4. Running reports for archiving
  5. Managing historic records, including sorting, boxing, and preparing for destruction or offsite storage
  6. Supporting ad-hoc demands of the Sellafield Information and Records Management Team

The successful candidate must be a self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team, conduct themselves professionally, and adhere to Iron Mountain’s core values. Full support and training will be provided.

This role, based on the Sellafield Site, requires adaptability and a proactive approach to multifunctional tasks within Records Management.

  • Ability to work effectively across teams
  • Strong work ethic and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail, resourcefulness, and quick thinking
  • Ability to build long-term relationships with customers and internal teams
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Desirable but not essential:

  • SC Clearance
  • P4 Pass
  • Previous experience at Sellafield
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word
